Say what you will about the actual writing and directing of this particular episode, you still have to admit that a name like THE MONSTER FROM THE INFERNO is downright funky/groovy. This is a weird way for me to begin my analysis of one of my all time favorite monster shows from my childhood mainly because I am starting out with a lot of general criticism. Or, rather, more specific criticism: The Monster From The Inferno episode of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA is downright ROTTEN. It is almost shocingly bad when you consider how tremendous this cold war - science fiction series was for the bulk of its prior two seasons.
