Farewell, Bob Barker
We have finally reached the end of a long road of our intertwined lives.
I remember when the winning bid on a new car was $5,000.00. That was way back when.
I haven't watched the PRICE IS RIGHT in maybe 25 years, but when I was a little kid I used to enjoy watching the program when it aired at 11am every weekday. Of course, I was in grade school at the time, but during days off and summer break, the PRICE IS RIGHT was a program that myself and my friends would glue our eyes in front of the TV screen and ingest. This is somewhat curious because kids normally drift towards cartoons and adventure shows. The idea that a game show would attract kids is a true testament to the ral reason behind the progra's success: Bob Barker. Sure, the over top and fun games of chance the program revolvd around were cartoonish enough to attract kids of all ages, but it was Mr. Barker's unique charisma that was the real attraction to the program.
